Traditional Upholstery

Traditional upholstery with historically accurate detailing is the mainstay of our upholstery trade. Using traditional materials and methods, we work with our hands and the craft of hammer and tack, hand stitching, buttoning and piping. Horsehair, hog hair, coconut fibre, and wool are hand sewn into hessian seating. Springs are tied in by hand, and all work is finished by hand.

We do from time to time work with mid century pieces, and this will dictate we use contemporary materials. The quality of the work, however, remains the same.

Whether a piece calls for refurbishment, restoration or redecoration, we work with individual clients, trade partners and interior designers nationwide, working on everything from individual Georgian fireside chairs to full Edwardian dining and parlour sets.
