When it comes to restoration, Salvagem prefers a traditional approach. Conservation and preservation is key, with a sympathetic approach to pieces brought in for restoration. We have successfully and beautifully restored a huge range of fine furnishings including antique sofas, armoires, dining chairs and tables, secretaries, and gilded items including mirrors and lamps.
Recycled timbers, veneers, and hardware are preferred over contemporary materials. When that is not possible, Salvagem outsources locally to independent craftspeople to reproduce a period fixture or material incorporated into your restoration project.
